- If you haven’t already, you’ll need to register your business with the local council. This is very straightforward and easy to complete. If you look at your local council’s website, you’ll find a section along the lines of ‘Register your Food Business’ (here is an example for Hackney Council)
- The form will ask a series of standard questions such as where you’re based, what you’re cooking and how long you’ve been cooking for.
- It’s important to remember that this isn’t an application that can be rejected by the council. It’s simply you letting them know what you’re doing and if you’ve been cooking and selling in the past without being registered. As long as you register before posting your first drop, then there won't be any issues from the council.
- Registering with your council is FREE and often takes less than 10 minutes.
